Per Kirkeby Show

I was extremely lucky to make a trip to Aalborg in Denmark to see the Per Kirkeby exhibition at the Kunsten museum of modern art. He is one of my favourite abstract painters who originally trained as a geologist. I love the intentional marks throughout the expressionist paintings eluding to the organic forms found in nature. I myself am becoming increasingly interested in the abstract patterns found all around us outside - I would like to explore these themes and see if I can push my work into abstraction.
